Amersham School - Case Study

According to Kelly Cossins, teacher at Amersham School, "the Inspire-Aspire posters that each of my classes are involved in chose a project of their choice based on the Inspire-Aspire theme. For example some of my classes have been looking at the inspiration of the Paralympians and how we can all draw on them for inspiration and they have been putting themselves in their shoes to see how it would affect them at school. We also ran a whole Science day recently for Year 8 where they took part in challenges related to the upcoming Olympics and designed a handball arena, a glove to be used in sailing and an anti doping challenge to work out which of the samples was contaminated.  The students found this particularly inspirational and are aspiring to become involved more in Maths, Science and Engineering."
