Inspire-Aspire take applications for 2012-13

What a wonderful summer of sport we have had, haven’t we? Watching the coverage of the Olympic and Paralympic Games over the last two months has really shown what a positive impact London 2012 has had on Great Britain as a whole and demonstrated that whilst the Games are over, they will leave a lasting legacy which will inspire and motivate our young people for a long time to come. The Inspire-Aspire Programme plays an important role in this and will be even more poignant this year as the success of London 2012 and Team GB are still fresh in the minds of so many across the UK.

Education departments across the world are working together to create a lasting Games legacy. The Canadian Olympic School Program presents the first instalment of the 2012-2013 classroom resources with “Celebration of Excellence”. A resource that will introduce students to the Olympic Values, the Olympic Movement, the London 2012 Canadian Olympic Team and the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame. Supplemented with adaptable and modifiable activities students will learn how to develop a Press Release, be challenged to adopt healthy active lives and develop a better understanding of what it means to Give Your Everything.
