We are happy to announce that Ikusasalethu High School in South Africa is our School of the Month. The pupils at Ikusasalethu were highly motivated by the programme and inspired to develop
their own personal action plan. According to Nhlabathi Njabulo Nomvuyo, grade
10 pupil at the school,
“This is an excellent project. I have learned about the Olympic and Paralympic values. I now know how to evaluate myself. It has helped me find ways of self discovery and of having a bright future.”

Mrs Isabel Gilchrist, who taught the South African pupils about the values behind the Olympic movement, was very
impressed with learners’ entries:
“What comes through very strongly is the young people’s passion to succeed so that they can contribute positively in future to the improvement of their community. The spirit of ubuntu is obvious and admirable.”
